- New drone businesses perform better when core fundamentals are set first.
- Most beginner setbacks come from skipping critical setup and compliance steps.
- Clear planning improves consistency and confidence in early client work.
The four pillars we're going to be talking about are going to be piloting and technical skills because whether you're the pilot or you're going to hire a pilot, you need to make sure that whoever is flying the drone knows how to fly them. Um, and they know how to how all the technical stuff that goes along with it. There's a lot of software or app-based stuff that's involved in flying them now now more than ever. In fact, most people think that if they don't have their controller and they don't have this screen, then they can't fly it. But that's not true. as long as you have a the radio connection to the drone and that you don't have to have the screen to be able to fly it. Now, it's easier so you know what you're taking pictures of. But for a long time, we didn't have that. For decades, you know, we would just take a bunch of pictures and go through and oh, we can use this one and this one and then we delete the rest. So, it's a whole lot easier than it used to be. But, and notice how I said if you're going to be flying, cuz there might be some of you that have no interest in flying drones. In fact, how many of you are does that fit in that category? You don't you could care less about flying drones. You just want to be the CEO of your drone company and you want to hire pilots. Okay. So, one, two, three, three or four of you guys. Okay, awesome. And and you can totally do that because like the the CEO of United Airlines doesn't have to be a the best pilot in the fleet or he doesn't even have to be a pilot, right? You can just hire pilots. And same thing here. you guys can can you can fly the drones or you can hire people to fly them, but make sure whoever does it knows how to fly them, knows how to use the software and all that stuff. The other thing is all the rules and laws and regulations and all that because we're right at the beginning phases more or less and these things are changing and evolving and we're going to see a lot more of it. is going to get a lot stricter than it is now. And it'll have a lot more to do with drones cuz right now it it was just kind of thrown together. And uh it's the it's the cowbell and red flag phase is where we are now. Um so that's going to change and that's going to evolve and it's evolving pretty it's starting to get a lot more uh we're starting to see a lot more regulation stuff come in. Um and it's a good thing. It's this is a heavily regulated industry and it needs to be regulated because people's lives are at stake. So, we need to be respectful of that and understand it. So, again, whoever's flying needs to be up to date on this, knows what's going on and all that stuff. The third pillar, probably the most under utilized and misunderstood, is marketing. And we're going to spend a lot of time on it because if you don't know how to market your drone business correctly, then you're just you've got yourself a good little hobby and you're the best kept secret in your town. So, we want to make sure that that's not the case and you have all the tools and resources to position yourself where anybody that comes across your business would be absolutely crazy not to do business with you. We want to make sure that you get that messaging loud and clear uh across the marketplace. And then business development. This is the fourth pillar here. And this is basically building an asset because I don't want you to make the man rich. Most of you have probably worked for a company and you put in you probably spent more time at your job than you have with your family and you've made them they paid you a wage but you've built an asset for them that now they can they can leverage or sell or or take public or you know stock prices have increased or whatever. But you can do that for yourself and you can build an asset not just start a job that now you can leverage. Maybe you want a legacy piece to leave to your kids or your grandkids. You know, maybe you want to build up an asset and you want to sell it. You
